In which this becomes (briefly) a political blog.

The Decmocratic candidate for County Clerk & Register of Deeds stopped by a few minutes ago asking to add his entry to the host of congenial political signs that now dot our lawn.

"Hey!" I said. "You're the candidate with the blog!"

"Uh, yeah. I am. Do I know you from the local bloggers?"

"No, no. I'm not an Ann Arbor blog. I mean, I'm in Ann Arbor and I blog. But I am not exactly an Ann Arbor blog. I'm parental. Whimsical."

He then very politely asked for our political support and while I did about ten seconds of due diligence in skimming lightly over his campaign literature I realized that he is the founder of one of my favorite reference web sites!

Sweet galloping Carl Vrooman!

I proceeded to fawn over the man until he was forced to beat a retreat to his car under cover of obtaining one of his yard signs.

So vote for him, already.

I just dropped in on your blog. I had to laugh at loud at your last post (which isn't good as baby has just gone to sleep). I really got a visual of the toddler pack, great writing.
